Cutest Pumpkin' in the Patch

So this is the obligatory pumpkin patch post, I feel like it's kind of redundant...because I post one every year. BUT this year was extra special because it was Camden's first time AND even though he wont remember it, this momma will never forget!

The very first time Corey and I went to the pumpkin patch we were engaged, then last year we were married, and now we have our very own bambino.  You can read about our past experiences here and here.

We went last Saturday and had perfect fall weather, it got a little cloudy a couple of times but overall it was a really nice afternoon!

And here is the photo dump for you!
Definitely the cutest pumpkin' in the patch!

It's Finally Fall

I looovvvee fall. I love pumpkins, and lattes, and sweaters, and football, and Halloween, and Thanksgiving, and family, and hayrides. I mean who doesn't!?!

And now that I have an itty bitty I want to share all this festive fun with him, even if he doesn't remember his first holidays and the hayrides I will capture them! I CAN NOT wait to take Camden to the pumpkin patch and trick-or-treating and read fun books! Soo here is our list of festive things we are going to do all season long! Plus a few extras that I forgot to list....

Dad-To-Be Hospital Kit

These are all over pinterest, so I thought it would be fun to make Corey one for Father's Day since our little man is coming soon. Also I am obsessed with gift baskets!

Since Corey technically isn't a father yet, I gave it to him a little early (but let's be real, its because I can't keep a secret).  Corey mentioned on Mother's Day that he was bummed that I got the first "parent" holiday, so I wanted to go out of my way to make this Father's Day special for him too, hopefully I succeeded. Corey has been amazing throughout this pregnancy, he total deserves this AND so much more!

I put together this basket full of some things he will need while we are in the hospital and some things that will be usefully once our little man arrives.

Corey's Basket Included:
Snacks (Beef Jerky, Almonds, and Chips)- just in case he gets hungry
Candy- when boredom sets in
Goody's Powder- for headaches
Magazine- to pass the time
Travel Size Toiletries (shampoo, body wash, and deodorant)- so he doesn't get stinky.
Caffeinated Drinks: Mt. Dew and a 5 Hour Energy- to stay awake!
Hand Sanitizer: Corey is going to be on clean hand duty!!
"Brown Bear, Brown Bear": Story Time...I just melt thinking about it!
Pacifier and Pacifier Clip: So even Dad can't lost it.
Onesie: I tried to find one that said "I love my Daddy" but no such luck.

Then I got these cute labels and wrote notes on the back of them explaining what each gift is for! If you want the labels, you can get them for free here!!
The four different labels!
Note for Hershey Kisses

Happy Father's Day to all you Dads out there!!

Will You Be My Valentine?

I LOVE holidays, and if someone really asked me to pick my favorite holiday I would have a hard time choosing.
Valentine's Day well its pretty spectacular, what girl doesn't LOVE flowers, chocolate, romantic songs, cards and LOVE.
My sweet husband sent me roses at work. Of course Corey has given me flowers many times before BUT this time I have a big girl job AND he has somewhere to actually send them! I almost cried when they brought them into my classroom.....oh pregnancy and hormones.
Oh you know just a little selfie of my self, I guess I was feeling cute yesterday morning....(my hair is getting LONG)

Yup, I am the wife who waits until 7 o'clock the night before Valentine's to get something for the hubster. Wife of the year??

I ended up putting together a pretty great Valentine's present. The best way to a man heart..through his stomach! Corey ended up with a few of his favorites: chips, coke, candy, a gift card to his favorite restaurant, and a little alcohol. The only reason I know it was so great....because he has literally thanked me multiple in the past two days? Repeat gift, I think so!

So how did your Valentine's day go? Are you waiting to celebrate this weekend? Did you get anything spectacular?

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

My house is finally decorated from Christmas, although I am not completely finished yet. I have been such a slacker this Christmas season, hopefully I will have the stockings hung and my tree skirt finished soon (both DIY projects to be posted soon hopefully!).

But here is what I do have up and some of my FAVORITES.

Wreath, My Nonnie's Christmas China, My Beloved Chalkboard, Christmas Tree, Santa Cookie Jar, Santa Mailbox Cover, Presents (my theme: dots and stripes), and My DIY Cardholder

Merry Christmas Y'all!

Christmas in Huntsville

In the whirlwind of wedding planning, the wedding, and our honeymoon I never had the chance to upload picture from Christmas.
So here was my last Christmas as a Grasson. Corey and I decided that we would spend our last Christmas separate with our respective families. Well actually mostly because I had to be in Huntsville to help finish planning the wedding and he had to be in Troy to work.

Almost all of the cousins.

Merry Christmas

This is the cutest version of the Christmas story I have ever seen!!
Hope y'all enjoy a little Christmas cheer!

The angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were struck with great fear. The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.”

Christmas Card Holder

This post is lacking in pictures for every step because I got a little side tracked in my creative process that I forgot to document each step...but it is super easy and cute to make!!!

My inspiration....pinterest of course!
Pinned Image

I bough a super cheap Christmas sign from the Dollar Store kind of like this one....
I just flipped it over and painted with some acrylic paint I already had....
This is where I stopped taking pictures...
After I finished painting I cut three different types of ribbons into all different lengths ( I cute them longer at first and then ending up having to cute some in half) and I just hot glued the ribbons onto the back!
Really Easy to make and I love mine!

Merry Christmas!

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas!

OHH my it's almost Christmas. I love Christmas. It is my favorite holiday, I know a lot of people say that. But I really love everything about Christmas. I love the food, my family, the traditions (old and new), midnight mass, giving presents, baking cookies, the Christmas Tree, decorating,....all of it.

I have started to do a little Christmas decorating at my house so far we have....

A TREE

Some Stockings

The Kitchen Table

 A Wreath

And The Front Door

I have more decorations to put up, but that is all I could get to tonight. It is my homework's fault that I have to stop. But even those little changes make me in a more jolly mood!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope y'all have have a wonderful day with family and friends. So far today I have already stuffed my face with one Thanksgiving meal and plan on doing it one more time before I go to bed tonight.

This Thanksgiving was a little different for me. I am usually in Huntsville, AL with all my family enjoying the yummy food, but this year I stayed and enjoyed Thanksgiving with Corey's family. It was a bitter-sweet moment for me. I loved every second with his family, but I also missed mine. Oh the stresses of having families that live four hours away from one another.

This year was also a first for me (well actually a second). I brought a dish to share to Corey's family Thanksgiving...and although I have brought this dish once before. It felt completely different this time around. Maybe it is because I am getting married, or because I am getting older, or maybe because it is something my family always makes around the holidays. But this thanksgiving I felt like a big kid. I felt older. I felt domesticated. I brought something from my family and shared it with Corey's. And I although I can't exactly explain the feeling, it was a good one!!

Hope Y'all Have A Wonderful Thanksgiving

Give Thanks

Rough day! My car, Sally, is being crazy. She won't let me take the key out of the ignition....weirdest thing ever!

But this post is about giving Thanks, not complaining.

So today I am thankful for a roof over my head, even if it is just a house with a skirt! I have spent the past two hours cleaning my house because I am going to have some visitors this weekend. I LOVE having guest over.
My mom's best-friend son is getting married (AKA my childhood boyfriend). So everyone is coming to stay with me!! My mom and my sister are coming Friday night, and then one of my mom's friends and her daughter are coming down Saturday. I can not wait!

A Few Weeks Ago, I found a blog post about how to clean your house in 10 minutes. That's if you clean your house daily. So as I was deep cleaning my house I had wished that I would have started this already. So today I am turning a new leaf, I am going to clean this house for 10 minutes everyday. I love a clean house, but with everything going on lately, I have not been able to keep my house up to par.

Here are the steps you need to take daily:
Monday: bathrooms-mirrors, sink, and bathtubs
Tuesday: clean kitchen
Wednesday: clean living room
Thursday: vacuum and sweep
Friday: dust and wipe down all surfaces
Saturday: bathrooms-toilets
Sunday: REST

Letter to Corey

Today I am thankful for Corey, well I am really thankful for him everyday.

To my Corey, my Best friend, my Love, my Rock, and my Partner in Crime,

I love you. You are the greatest man I have ever met.
You put up with me on the craziest days...and I have been having a lot of those lately.
You are the most dedicated, hard working person I know. You are going to do wonderful things with your life, I know it!!!
You make me smile everyday and you still give me butterflies. What more could a girl ask for!
You are an amazing son, brother, friend, and fiance. You tell me I am beautiful when I have no make on and I am wearing sweats. You change the lyrics to every song and you are a true Dog Lover. You are the caring, sweet man of my dreams. You have my back, even if I am in the wrong. You are my personal dictionary. You tell me when I am being ridiculous. And you are the guy I get to marry in 7 weeks. I can not wait.
Thank you for everything you do for me.

Love,
ME

We were in the car today when I heard this car and I knew just what I was going to blog about today.
So this song is dedicated to you. I love you!!

More Thankful Things!

Ugh I am so behind on this and I wanted to be soo on top of this. But with my crazy schedule it is just not possible, so hopeful I can catch up with the ones I missed when I get a breather....
Actually lately I have been able to blog on the craziest days, maybe it is because I am already productive and I want the productivity to continue.

November 9th:
Today I am thankful for.........everyone else being miserable
Haha I know that sounds crazy but tonight we had class for seminar(which is a class that goes along with my internship) and all of us elementary interns are in our second placement and for most of us it means that we are in upper elementary. I am in sixth grade......I HATE sixth grade. As it turns out that some of my really good friends do not like their grades either.
So this makes me feel a lot better. For the past two weeks I have been struggling with the fact that I don't like teaching this grade, and contemplating if I want to be a teacher at all.
I also need to add that I have a WONDERFUL co-operating teacher and on top of that GREAT sixth students.
I just HATE the content. It is awful, and I haven't found a way to make it fun yet....but I will, I am determined.

So all I am trying to say, is that sometimes it is good to have people in your life that are feeling the exact same way as you, it HELPS a lot.

November 3rd
I am thankful for this amazing weather. I love fall and everything that comes along with it. The cooler weather, the changing of the leaves, and all the holidays to come!!

November 4th
I am thankful for the weekends, it is the only time I get to relax and regroup for the week ahead.

November 5th
