Fall Fun

Today we went to the pumpkin patch!!! As a child I went to the pumpkin patch every year, but since I have been in college I have not been once. So this year, I am re-starting the tradition!
This is the start of our first family tradition, from now on Corey and I promised each other that we would go to the pumpkin patch, and one day when we have kids of our own we will go as a family!

Puppy Love

All about our munchkin; DARCY!

Since we have lost our sweet boy Chaco, Darcy has not had much exercise. So this weekend we took her out for a little play time. One things this pup loves is a squeaky tennis ball!! Here are some of our favorite actions shots.
Ready to play!
Look at those Baby Blues.

One tired puppy
She put the ball in her water, so we could not get it!

DIY Thank You Cards

Buying the Thank You cards that matched our wedding invitation was going to be crazy expensive SO I decided that I would just do it myself. First I ordered a custom stamp from this amazing shop on Etsy.  Then I went to Michaels and bought 3 packs of 50 white notecards for $7.00 each. Oh yeah and the ink pad!

I think the older I get the more obsessive compulsive I get, so to make sure my stamp was centered every time I made my own little guide. I just measure my stamp and then cut out a square to make sure it would be centered.
Then I just placed my homemade template on top of the card.........
And stamped, and stamped, and stamped...........

THE FINISHED PROJECT!!!

I am pretty much obssesed with our stamp, I just need to find more ways to use it now!!

Happy Monday!!

What A Day

Well when I first decided to blog I promised myself two things. First I would always be honest (share the good and bad) and second I would try to update regularly. Even though I have failed on my second goal, I always try to tell what I am feeling (mostly so when I look back I can remember). Most of my post are happy, I am generally a happy person, I am one of those people who smiles ALL the time.
But today is not a happy day! Today was ROUGH. My kids were crazy! Even though I am done with my ten full days of teaching, I was able to teach today. My teacher was gone, so I had a substitute in the room with me and you would of thought each of my kids ate a whooole bag of candy, they were WILD....one of my little boys punched a little girl today :(.
It's day like today when I ask myself WHY did I choose to be stuck in a classroom with 22 screaming and crazy kids...
It's day like today when I have to remind myself why I love my job so much...
It's day like today when I need a little pick me up...

AND that is just what I got! Somehow my partner in crime (corey) always knows what I need. This is what I found when I got home from school today...
And those three little words can turn your day around....Crazy huh!?!

Inspiration and Motivation

I have been trying to write this post for a while but I have just been too busy. Thank goodness my life is going to slow down for a couple of weeks (I just finished my first ten consecutive days teaching in third grade, and I do not start sixth grade for me more week!). So I have a little of spare time. Last Tuesday, my life was falling apart. I was overwhelmed with school, wedding, money, work, life....you name it! But I got on fb and everyone else must have been in the same predicament because I found all of these inspiration quotes and saying. It was exactly what I needed, so I thought I would share it with all of you. Just in-case you never need a pick me up!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart."

"Sometimes you need to step outside, get some air, and remind yourself who you are and where you want to be." - Gossip Girl

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and persistant in prayer." Romans 12:12

"the greatest thing you'll ever learn is to love and be loved in return"

This last one I just like and I don't want to forget it!

"The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can't read them" - Mark Twain
