Will You Be My Valentine?

I LOVE holidays, and if someone really asked me to pick my favorite holiday I would have a hard time choosing.
Valentine's Day well its pretty spectacular, what girl doesn't LOVE flowers, chocolate, romantic songs, cards and LOVE.
My sweet husband sent me roses at work. Of course Corey has given me flowers many times before BUT this time I have a big girl job AND he has somewhere to actually send them! I almost cried when they brought them into my classroom.....oh pregnancy and hormones.
Oh you know just a little selfie of my self, I guess I was feeling cute yesterday morning....(my hair is getting LONG)

Yup, I am the wife who waits until 7 o'clock the night before Valentine's to get something for the hubster. Wife of the year??

I ended up putting together a pretty great Valentine's present. The best way to a man heart..through his stomach! Corey ended up with a few of his favorites: chips, coke, candy, a gift card to his favorite restaurant, and a little alcohol. The only reason I know it was so great....because he has literally thanked me multiple in the past two days? Repeat gift, I think so!

So how did your Valentine's day go? Are you waiting to celebrate this weekend? Did you get anything spectacular?

Party Planning

Even before I got pregnant I wanted to have a gender reveal party! There are some many themes out there, it is hard to decide which direction to take.  I want to keep our reveal pretty low key. We are just having family and close friends there.....not that I even sent the invites out yet (I probably should get on that). Anyways keeping it low key, with neutral colors (I am really loving gold lately), and grilling out with the family.
One thing I haven't decided on yet is if I want to find out with Corey at the doctor's office or be surprised with the whole family at the gender reveal?!?! Hopefully Baby Sewell will cooperate with us and we will be finding out if it's a beautiful baby girl or a handsome baby boy on February 25.

Here is some of my inspiration....I am really loving making these inspiration boards lately!

  1. I love the voting aspect, I don't know if I am feeling the whole wear the pink/blue depending on your guess part though.

2. Voting on the babies name...precious! Even if you don't end up choosing any of these name, I think it would be fun to see what you friends and family thought.

3. Releasing balloons....a must! This is pretty much the whole reason I want to have a gender reveal party. This box is my favorite so far....maybe even spray painted gold???

4. Pendants, I great way to decorated AND it's cheap.

5. Cake or cupcakes filled with blue or pink icing....I am not sure about this, but I do love these little questions mark cupcakes.

6. Old Wise Tales, so your guest can make educated guesses. BONUS this one is on a chalk board.

7. I think it would be cool to incorporate a picture of the ultrasound.

8. Totally cheesy...but I LOVE the Hershey bars. Every party needs a little pink and blue!!

Let's Just Talk

...about hormones.

Pinned Image1. I am venting here. You were warned. I am 23 years old and I still get my feelings hurt. A LOT. Like my heart hurts (really it physically hurts, it feels like my heart is tightening) because of what someone did OR I'm crying because of what someone said to me. I am blaming it on all the hormones BUT let's be honest, my feelings would have probably gotten hurt either way....pregnancy just makes it 100 times more dramatic. And my poor husband is the best, seriously: he always tells me that it will be fine, that I need to let it go, that it doesn't even affect me, or just that I need to keep being me. BUT it's hard. Life is hard. And sometimes it even sucks. Hormones are not fun. AND girls are mean.

2. Hormones are making my face breakout. Like I am a 16 year old girl....except when I went through puberty the first time MY FACE DIDN'T EVEN BREAK OUT! But now it is. And that sucks too.

3. I have great best friends. But 4 out of my 5 BEST friends live far away. Yeah I need to work on that, like live a little. Meet new people, branch out, put myself out there, and make some new friends. But that's hard, like really hard. I HATE meeting new people. I am kind of a hermit. I use my free time to spend it with my husband or my sweet puppies. I think that's why I love blogging so much BECAUSE I can just write down all my emotional baggage AND I do not have to talk to anybody....well besides Corey, he gets all my emotional baggage (some days I feel really sorry for him).

4. People I do enjoy talking to: My Sister. I talked to her on the phone today for almost an hour straight. If you don't know her...she's amazing. She funny, and outgoing, and pretty, and sweet, and everybody LOVES her!

5. Anything in your life sucking it up lately? I am sure mine is an anthill compared to your mountain.

6. That's the thing about life, my is still pretty amazing. I have a great hubster AND this amazing blessing growing inside me. I have an awesome family who supports me and loves me. So even on these bad days, I can't complain to much

7..........that's why I am blaming this WHOLE post on the hormones because one minute I am down and they next I am feeling like I am the luckiest girl in the world. This is one CRAZY roller coaster.

8. Thanks for letting me vent, Love Y'all
