Five on Friday {Week 17}

This is not a very good Friday because I am sick:(

I was suppose to visit my best friend in Birmingham this weekend, but instead I will be resting...


1. I did treat myself to my weekly "you made it another week" celebration! This morning I went to a place called Village Coffee and it was amazing! I bought a tea to soothe my throat. It will probably be my new Friday spot.

2. I went to school sick..bad idea. I am paying for it now. I feel awful and I am already laying in bed. This is my sickly loot.

3. The fundraising man came to school today AND I got a stash. I put on a happy face for my kiddos.

4. Bruno is feeling a little under the weather too, so we snuggled on the couch!

5. AND I went to the doctor today. I was afraid I had strep, but I don't!! Thank Goodness! My awesome sister-in-law slipped me in, and I avoided the two hour wait! Thank you soo much!

The rest of my weekend will consist of relaxing with the hubster and recuperating, so I will be back to 100% by Tuesday!

I have soooo much to tell you, because I am FINALLY allowed to share the AWESOME news that I'm teaching First Grade!! I am so excited and LOVE it already. But tonight I am just going to share some pictures of my new(very first) classroom. It is still a work in progress...

To Much To Do, AND Not Enough Time

I have some many things I would love to blog about and a couple of projects I have even completed.

Things waiting on the sidelines:

• Knock-You-Naked-Brownies: Done, Photographed, Eaten.
• Sunburst Mirror: Glued, Painted, and Already Hanging Up.
•  Dog Pillow: Fabric Sewn, Stuffed, and Slept On.
• Life: Crazy Busy and Soooo Many Exciting Things to Tell You About. 
• My book: It Wants to be Read Sooo Bad. 

But instead of writing about all of those exciting things, I am sitting in my bed working. Why,Oh,Why couldn't I picked a regular 9-5???
Oh you know because I love what I do AND all of my sweet babies. They are the only reason I am still working at 8 o'clock on a Wednesday night.

Five on Friday {Week 16}

Happy Weekend! Today was a great day and it started bright and early...5:30 to be exact!
1."The moment I wake up
Before I put on my makeup
I say a little pray for you"...nothing like a little Aretha! But seriously I woke up, put on make up, got dressed, and was out the door by 6:15.

2. I saw am beautiful sunrise. God is good!!

3. Gave my self A treat, Hardee's for breakfast! A Friday tradition.

4. Then on my way to work I heard "Achy Breaky Heart" by Billy Ray Cyrus ! Let me just tell you i was OBSESSED with this song as a little girl!!! He was my first concert, AND I probably was only about 3/4 years old when I went.

5. And then on my way home from work I got behind this lovely tractor, luckily for me he turned off. Welcome to Alabama!

More Than A Song

I heard this song on my way home from work this afternoon, and it just meant more to me this afternoon than most. You know when you hear a song at exactly the right moment, and it speaks to your heart OR applies to your life right at that moment. Well that's what happened today when I was driving home.

I am so grateful for my other half today and I appreciate him more today than most days. Thanks for being my rock and letting me lean on you for strength!!

Five on Friday {Week15}

Today has been CRAZY!! But a great kind of crazy!

I worked for twelve hours straight. Both puppies were so excited to see me when I finally got home! I love that the sun is still shining at 6:40, thank goodness for summer! And I had dinner with the in-laws!!

Blogiversary

I missed the one year mark on the ol' bloggy blog. BUT since it was exactly one year and three months ago, I figured why not celebrate today!!!!

This blog has witnessed soo many things, it's crazy how much your life can change in a year. One year ago today I was getting ready to start my internship AND planning a wedding. Flash forward one year and we are happily married with so many exciting things happening in our lives!

My blog has witnessed my internship, our engagement, our first house, my graduation from college, our wedding, my first BIG KID job, our sweet puppies, and some amazing trips/journeys. Along the way we captured sweet family members/memories, crafts, recipes, holidays, and our very own traditions! I can't wait to see where life and this little blog takes us, but I know it will be some where great.

So please continue with us on this crazy little journey called life, and we will see where our extraordinary ordinary life takes us!!!

Today is my husband/boyfriend/best friend/emotion wrangler/confidant/partner-in-crime's birthday!!

I can't express in words how lucky I am to have this amazing man in my life, AND I can't wait to spend 80 more birthdays with him right by my side!! ( we should be good and wrinkly by then)

Five on Friday {Week 14}

Tonight's post is all about one thing instead of five things. BUT this one thing has been one amazing blessing over the past four years of my life!

What's is this thing you ask?? Well it's my part-time job, Hooks BBQ.

Even though I have complained about this job countless times, it has also been one of the greatest blessing of my life! Why?

Because:
• I meet my best friend/husband at this crazy BBQ restaurant.
• I have made MANY amazing friends throughout my four years there...AND a couple of best friends!
• AND I had a pretty great boss, who worked with my crazy schedule during college, and ended up becoming a family friend.

Tonight I imagined I would be happy/excited to leave, but I ended up being pretty sad. It was a very bittersweet night! I can't wait to see what the next chapter holds, but I wasn't quite ready to close this one!!!

Five on Friday {Week 13}

My sister is coming, my sister is coming!!! So excited she is coming to visit!

1. I woke up early this Friday morning, with nothing too important to do.
2. I washed 6 loads of clothes....ridic
3. Corey was being SUPER lazy before work, but I couldn't blame him
4. The Olympics on are 24/7 at my house, obsessed is an understatement!!!!!
5. And today I finished a book...that I started yesterday. I have a problem I cant put a book down once I start reading it!
