Five on Saturday??

I completely forgot to blog yesterday! And yesterday was such a surprisingly fun day, I hung out with a couple of girls from work. We shopped, ate to much, went to see an interesting movie, and had entirely had too much fun!

But as amazing as yesterday was today is even better because, today Corey and I have been married six months!!

They say times flies when your having fun, and boy does it! We are having the time of our life being newlyweds and I am LOVING every second of it!

Soo in honor of today, I am going to tell you five amazing things about my hubster:

1. He is the most supportive man I know. He always rises to the challenge, he has been my rock over the past couple of weeks. Thank you!
2. He tells me every single day that I'm beautiful and he loves me.
3. He is the hardest worker I know! He would do anything for our little family. The pups and I are pretty lucky!
4. He puts up with me on a daily basis haha. AND that is pretty trying lately, with me stressing about finding a job and interviews....
5. He make me LAUGH....from drawing me crazy pictures to changing lyrics in a song. He knows how to make me smile!

Happy Half-a-Year!

My Nonnie

My Nonnie (aka My Grandmother) is the most independent, amazing, strong, faithful woman I know. She was my biggest role model growing up. She taught me about soo soo much; everything from writing thank you notes, to sending birthday cards, to putting on make up and playing dress up. She taught us how important family and traditions are. She is a lady I will never forget and will think about every day. I miss her termendiously and it's only been a week. Our wonderful Nonnie went home last Monday morning, where she gets to see her husband, her granddaughter, and her two oldest sons. I know she is watching down on all of us now. I have another wonderful guardian angel watching over me tonight. I hope one day I am half the lady you were!

I have so many pictures, but their still doesn't seem to be enough of them.

I miss you and love you!

Five on Friday {Week 8}

Well this has been a tough week and I failed to blog last Friday. This bloggy-blog is becoming just a weekly thing...but that's okay with me.

I will probably post later about what all has occurred thought this last week but for now let's get this show on the road

Starting in the top right and moving clockwise:
1. Well my Friday started in the wee hours of the morning because when our Grasson family gets together we play cards. We finally went to bed about 2:30 this morning. I got second place winning 50 buckaroos!
2. This is my mom's Great Dane, Bella.
3. A rose from my Nonnie's burial this morning.
4. Corey and I took a drive over the mountain. Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE Huntsville?!?
5. Last but not least my favorite godchild/cousin, Anna.

Happy Fathers Day

I love my daddy so very much! I want to wish a very happy fathers day!

I know this fathers day will be particularly hard, and there won't be much celebrating today. But we will celebrate soon. I love you!

Now I must go off to the hospital to comfort my Nonnie, who is not doing so well.

My First Rejection....Ever

Lets start with this. I don't ever think I have been rejected (maybe by a boy or two, but that really doesn't count). I don't know how I have made it through the last 23 years rejections free, or maybe none of them mattered enough to be scorched into my memory. BUT rejection stinks. Every college or job I have ever applied for or interviewed for, I have received. With that being said...

I had my very first big girl interview last Tuesday for a sixth grade reading teacher AND I didn't get it. I was heart broken because I sooo badly want a job and to prove that I can be an amazing teacher. But if I am being honest with myself, I don't see me teaching sixth graders. My heart is with the younger ones. I absolutely positively loved teaching first grade.
I have FAITH that I will end up where I am suppose to be and that God will put me exactly where I am meant to be.

Good News: I received a call this morning for another interview, so I will need more prayers next Tuesday!!

Flowers

I finally got around to making a flower garden....about a month ago.
It was hard work AND I did most of it by myself.
I dug up all the grass and tilled the dirt....Corey helped a little

Then I got out the garden soil and spread it out in the bed.
Then I laid out the flowers, to see how I wanted to arrange them.

Then Corey dug the holes and I planted them! We planted double knockout roses and vincas.

 Kitty supervised!
All the hard work gave me blisters and dirty fingers

Unfortunately my roses are dying. BUT I don't think it is my fault. A couple of months back Corey and his brother sprayed a pretty powerful weed killer under my porch and it think its affecting my roses.
Good news we don't have any weeds under our porch.
Bad news my roses are dying...and fast :(
