I CAN NOT wait to take Camden to the pumpkin patch and trick-or-treating and read fun books! Soo here is our list of festive things we are going to do all season long! 6 Weeks Postpartum
I weighed 135 pounds before I got pregnant, and at the end of my pregnancy I weighed 166...yup, I gained 31 pounds while pregnant. So now the journey to my pre-pregnancy weight begins. Actually I would like to weigh less than 135 seeing I was a little larger than I would have liked to been before I got pregnant.
Any who, today was my 6 week postpartum check-up and I weighed 142. SOO since having Camden I have lost 24 pounds, I contribute all of this to breastfeeding and having a big baby! I have not dieted any (because of breastfeeding) or started exercising yet BUT all of that changestoday this weekend.
I know I will not "bounce back" right away and I can't really cut calories because I need them to be able to breastfed. So my goal to exercise more and eat healthier, I think that will help a lot! I have had a serious sweet tooth lately, so hopefully I will be able to reign that in. My goals for myself: exercise at least 3 times a week, fit into my skinny jeans, eat healthy, and walk daily.
Can't wait until my next postpartum update! Maybe I will make this a monthly affair to keep myself accountable and to be able to track my progress.

One Month Update
I can't believe we are here, I can't believe I am actually writing this post. I feel like time is flying at warp speed and all I want it to do is slow down.
Our little man is One Month Old today yesterday.
Weight/Height: At our last doctor's appointment Camden weighed 9 pounds and 13 ounces and is still 21 inches long.
Sizes: he can wear anything from newborn to 0-3 months and currently in size 1 diapers...right now pampers are my favorite!
Routine: he is actually a really good baby, but we don't have a set routine yet. Usually we wake up between 8am -9am, change diaper, and then nurse. Mornings seem to be when he is most alert, lately he has been staying awake for a couple of hours then napping around 11ish. He nurses about every 2 to 3 hours during the day. He is always in bed by 8pm or 9pm and is sleeping anywhere between 4 to 5 hours (his momma is not complaining)!! I usually get up with him around 1am or 2am to feed and then again around 5ish.
Sleeping: Camden is sleeping in his pack-n-play next to our bed right now AND taking naps either on me, in his bouncer, or on the couch. Hopefully this week we will move nap time to the crib...I will be testing my mommy skills.
Eating: exclusively breast milk right now, happy momma and baby!
- he discovered his hands, in particular his thumb
- loves to play on this playmat, he can hit the toys that hang
- pulling my hair...he has even pulled corey's armpit hair
- gaining more control of his neck
- starting to smile!

One Month Must Have
WOW I can't believe my baby boy is almost a month old, here are some of the things that help us get through our first month!
Aden and Anais Swaddle Blanket: These are amazing, I know everyone raves about them, but they are truly the best. They are great for swaddling AND they are huge! You can use these for everything from swaddling to covering up while nursing. I LOVE THEM!
Aveeno Baby Wash and Shampoo: This is the only body wash we have tried so far but we love it!
Boppy: This has been a life saver, especially after my c-section. This pillow made nursing easier since my stomach was so sore. Camden also loves to sit up in it when he is awake and curl up in it when he is sleeping.
Playmat: Just in the past week or so he has started to play on his playmat. He loves to swat at the elephant and he tries to grab the rings, what a little champ!!
Diaper Bag: I LOVE this diaper bag. It's big enough to carry my stuff and the babies but not so huge that I hate carrying it. It makes running to the doctor or to the store so much easier AND bonus it's cute!

25 Days of Camden
...which is total better than 25 days of Christmas!
These first few weeks have been a total whirlwind and a huge blessing.
We have been blessed with so much love and support, it makes my heart swell just thinking about it. And we couldn't have made it through these first few weeks without our family and friends, so a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you, we LOVE you!!
Things Camden Loves: Cuddles. His Playmat. The puppies. His paci is a life saver...even though I will probably regret it later.
Burping your baby cures all problems. If something is wrong, burp him and then burp him again!
He hates being swaddled and always eats with one leg locked.
Days 1-12 were a breeze but at day 12 things got a little scary. We thought Camden had a granuloma in his belly button so our pediatricians treated with silver nitrate unfortunately our bundle of joy has a really deep belly button so she said we might have to do the same treatment again. Well she was right four days later his little belly button was still bleeding, so back to the doctor's office we went and she did the same procedure again (which takes a total of five seconds and is totally painless).
When we woke up the next day his DEEP belly button had a little puss in it, soo I called our pediatricians once again BUT this time things weren't so simple. He had an infection in his belly button AND since he was only 17 days old we had to be admitted into the hospital. This was just a precaution to make sure the infection didn't spread into his blood stream, they wanted to start an IV so they could get fluids and antibiotics into his body as soon as possible.
Our doctor was concerned that he might have an urachal cyst, so while at the hospital we had an ultrasound and it showed that he was cyst free, YAY!
About 8 hours into our hospital stay Camden decided he no longer wanted an IV and somehow his IV came out. Then about 8 million nurses tried to get another IV started but nothing ever work, every time they would get one started his vain would collapse. After what felt like the 80th stick I couldn't take it any longer, so we gave up on the IV and decided we would just do oral antibiotics.
Our pediatrician wanted to keep him at least 48 hours with antibiotics in the IV but since the IV was a no go, we could go home in 24 hours if all his blood work came back normal. One sleepless night later and a fever free baby, we were FINALLY cleared to go home. HALLELUJAH!
Days 20-25 have been much better and a lot less stressful. You would never know that our baby boy was sick, he is as happy and content as can be.
The only down side, the antibiotics give him gas, which can make him fussy around bed time and after feedings.
Hopefully we will not be in the hospital for the next fiftyish years, this momma can't take the stress!
