Grateful

This morning as I was laying in my bed, I was reading over some of my older post. And although I was not sure of this blogging thing at first...I am so very glad that I stared.

This has been one of the craziest, most stressful, and exciting years of my life! And I would never remember all the ups and downs without this blog. I am so very grateful that I take the time to write down my thoughts, ideas, recipes, projects, and feelings. This gives me an outlet and some days I am not sure what I would do without it.

More and more I find myself thinking of ideas to blog about or feelings I can not wait to share with y'all. I know my readers consist of my family, close friends, and Corey. But I love that my loved ones can see what is going on even if they are four hours away.  I also love the idea of having a journal that I will always be able to look back on. It is fun to see how far we have come!!

So far my blog has captured planning our wedding, our first house, my internship, and college graduation! Soon it will hold treasured memories such as our wedding, our first years as a married couple, and hopefully babies.
I can not wait to see where as lives go and what another year holds for us. Twenty ten was an amazing year for us and I know our future hold great things!!

I probably won't be back until after the wedding! Hope y'all have a fabulous New Year!

Resolutions coming soon...

Done

When I arrived home two weeks ago I had roughly 30 things to get checked off the to-do list and I am proud to say that tonight I only have ONE thing left...and that is to print some picture. Easy-peasy!
I am so glad that everything is in place and coming together. Because now I can really enjoy the next few day!

Here are some of the things that my sister, my mom, and I got accomplished today!

Gifts for my flower girls
My beautiful stamp....I use it anywhere I can!
Itinerary for the wedding party.
Finished Writing Thank-You Notes!!!
Welcoming Bags for Out-of-Town Guest.
My beautiful hanger, it finally came in!
Bucket made out of a New Year's Hat, they hold poppers for our farewell.
Practice Wedding Hair, my mom is doing my hair...so it is essential that we practiced. We want a stress free wedding day!!

Counting Down the Days

I have four more days until I officially become Mrs. Corey Sewell. This week as flown by, I can only imagine how fast the day of our wedding is going to be. Tomorrow is my last day of "calm" before the festivities begin. But technically it hasn't been calm since the moment I arrived in Huntsville.

Thursday is my Bacherlorette Party and I decided to make it more low key than party. So hopefully it will be a night full of fun and relaxation with all my best girl friends surrounding me. I can not wait! Also on Thursday some out of town family starts arriving and my best friend comes into town!
Friday all of Corey's family arrives and it is the bridesmaid luncheon and the rehearsal and of course the rehearsal dinner so wedding festivities are in full swing.

And then HELLO Saturday! Saturday is wedding day, my wedding day. It is so crazy, I have been dreaming and planning and stressing over this day for so long. And in four days it will all be over with. I can not wrap my head around it yet. But I also can not wait for it to begin. e
But the most exciting thing of all is that Corey will be here in less than 58 hours...but who is counting

And since it is our wedding week, here is one of my favorite engagement pictures!
Gah I just think we are so cute! I love this picture so much because of the happiness that is overflowing...especially in Corey's eyes. I hope he still looks at me like this in 50 years.

Bouquet of Bows

Well it is our wedding week! And I have been crazy busy. We have been doing everything from making table numbers to meeting with the caterer.

And today was not an exception! We were busy shopping and creating! Our latest creation was my bouquet for the rehearsal. It was trickier then I thought it would be, but we managed to come up with something decent. The only bad part was I didn't get to use all of my bows :(
The finally result: BEAUTIFUL

At the beginning of the creative process.
Things are finally coming together...
The finally product!!!

Merry Christmas

This is the cutest version of the Christmas story I have ever seen!!
Hope y'all enjoy a little Christmas cheer!

The angel of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were struck with great fear. The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.”

Hello Bridezilla

Well today was the day....not in a good way. Today I had my first emotional break down of this whole wedding planning experience.
And in all honesty I feel like I deserve one. I am getting married in exactly seven days, one hour and twenty minutes! Oh yeah and one of Corey's groomsmen told us TODAY that he will not be in our wedding. HELLO bombshell....How do you quit someones wedding party SEVEN days before they get married. This is probably something I will never understand. And the sad part is, this is something he can never get back. AND this is something Corey will never forget/ forgive him for. Some people.....I just don't understand.
So on top of the wedding stresses, and the holiday stresses, and the stresses of someone backing out of the wedding, the hardest part of this whole entire thing is that Corey is four hours south.
I know, I know...I have talked about it a lot lately and I have only been away from him for six full days....but it is so hard!!! (I have not idea how military spouses do this or heck even long distance!! Bless You All!!) And when I am stressed I tend to overreact just a little. Like tonight Corey and I were on the phone and one of his friends beeped in, he told me that he would call me right back, well he didn't call me right back......And I had a minibreak down. You know the kind that involve tears, and Corey ususally does really well with the tears things. But since I was here and he was there....he didnt handle tears to well, it just stressed him out more. And that stressed me at more and then well there were more tears. Looking back I feel sorry for the poor boy!
But in the end Corey found some crazy way to make it all better and then he made me laugh. He has a way of bringing me back down to earth. AND he is coming to see my Christmas day (best present ever). I will probably cry again when I see him. This visit was not planned, but being the AMAZING man he is, he realized how much I needed him. Thank God I am marrying such a wonderful person....I do not think anyone else could handle me!

But enough with the sob story. Tomorrow and Sunday are my two most FAVORITEST days of the entire year. Our family's Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are packing with so much family, love, and friends!! I can not wait for the festivities to start at 10a.m. tomorrow morning!! I will probably won't be back until the 26th and then we will be in full wedding mode!

Happy Holiday, I hope y'all have the most wonderful Christmas!
