Things I Need

Okay well maybe I don't really need them but I WANT them REALLY bad!
Since I have entered blogger world, I feel the need to be more crafty and I can not be crafty without a few essentials.

1. A Sewing Machine. I am dying for one of these... I want to make pillows and curtain and lots of other fun things for our new house!! I am not sure what kind I want yet...a little more research is needed!

2. A Real Camera. I need a Digital SLR Camera. This is something I have done a lot research on. And I NEED this Nikon D3100...isn't she BEAUTIFUL!!

So Hard To Day Out Loud

We lost something very special in our life today.
We have had our precious puppy Chaco for exactly a year this August. It feels like yesterday when I went to pick him up in Atlanta's crazy airport. Our newest family member had come all the way from Canada to be with us and what a blessing he was.
Today the house is a lot quieter because we are mourning the loss of our sweet puppy. I know some might  think it is crazy to mourn over our puppy so deeply, but I truly believe he was a Gift from God.

On Sunday night my sweet puppy was not feeling very well and by Monday morning Corey knew that he needed to go to the vet. So by the time I had gotten home from school Monday, Chaco was already being taken care of by our wonderful vet. Our doctor suggested he stayed over night to be watched after a little more closely. And today when I got out of school I found out that my precious puppy had not made it through the night. He was diagnosed with heart defect that caused his heart values to close.

Chaco we will miss your immensely and you could never be replaced. You taught us love, faith, joy, forgiveness, and you continue to teach us through your death. Today showed me how truly wonderful our family and friends are and how truly BLESSED we are.

My New Obsession

The reason I have not done a lot of blogging lately is because I just began my internship with my wonderful third graders.....they keep my plenty busy. AND I have a new obsession, it's called Pinterest. I am sure most of you have heard about this wonderful website, but If you haven't it is a place were you find, share, and organize your ideas, pictures, and recipes. Actually you can pretty much do it all: plan a wedding, share quotes, find crafty things!! Its amazing.

Back to Reality

So yesterday was amazing, I was so glad to start my internship (well kind of, technically we don't get into the classroom until Monday).
...But today was not such a good day. Well it wasn't awful either, just one of those days were you feel like having a pity party for yourself. Then you have someone amazing that snaps you back into reality, well that person for me today was Corey. Since he was already at work when I got home from internship we were just texting each other about our day, he sent he a text that asked me how my day was going, since I was already in the midst of my very own pity party (because we can't spend a lot of quality time together along the stresses of internship) I just replied with the usually "everything is fine". AND THEN he reminded me today that we have been together for 2 years and 10 months...yup that was all it took to snap me out of it.

Sometimes you just need a reminder about how wonderful your life is, and it doesn't even have to be anything big. He didn't do any big jestures, he just said he loved me and happy 2 years and 10 months..and although that does not seem that long to some..it is still pretty amazing how much you can love someone in such a short amount of time.

So always remember.

Today is a HAPPY day because it was my LAST first day of school (well at least until grad school or until I get my own classroom). Words can not describe how excited I am. I feels like it took forever to get this point (four and half years)! AND although I did not want this semester to start, I am embracing it now that it is here.

So the countdown begins....

It's Been Awhile

Life has been crazy the past couple of days.

Summer is almost over :( I wish it could last forever, I am not ready for my last semester of college to start because once it begins I know it will be over before I blink. The next four and half months of my life are going to be crazy...hello internship and planning our wedding.
I was going to blog yesterday but it was to perfect of a Sunday to spend on the computer blogging. I spent a lazy afternoon with Corey because our schedules are about to get crazy...I will be interning from 7 to 3 everyday and Corey will be working 2 to 10. I do not even want to think about it because I know it going to be awful......

On a happier note we have been very busy bees and have gotten a lot accomplished lately.
So what have we been so busy with...

A Lot On My Mind

Sorry that this post is a little long and heavy, but I have so much on my mind and what better way to get it off my chest than to send it out into "blogger" world.

Today has been one of those days. One of those days where mostly everything is going wrong and you just want go give up. But then I remember who I am and who I want to be. And I know that I can't give up and that I won't give up. I will keep my head up high and keep moving forward.

So Today I am challenging myself to be a better person and to not to give up!!  I want to live every day of my life striving to be a better daughter, wife, friend, and fiance...just a good person in general. I want to be able to look back and be proud of the person I was/am! I am learning the hard way that if I have hate and contempt in my heart that none of these things would be possible. I am also realizing that I need to think before I speak or act because sometime my emotions can get the best of me.

My new motto is to "Kill Them With Kindness". I know it will be hard at times but in the end there will be a huge payoff. I will be at peace, peace knowing that I am being the best person that I can be. Peace that I have faced my own challenges and I was able to overcome them.

BIRTHDAY WEEK

I LOVE birthdays!! They are my favorite and it does not even have to be my own birthday. This week we are celebrating Corey's Birthday! We kicked off the week by getting away for a couple of days. (I also love to give Corey things to do instead of actual present, because he pretty much has everything) So I surprised him with tickets to go see Keith Urban in Atlanta!

So his Birthday celebration has begun and we will continue to celebrate until next Saturday. The week will end with a surprise birthday party! I can not wait, and sooo far its still a secret. YAY!

A Little Relaxing

I just got home from work and I am going to take a little time to myself. So I got myself a bridal magizine and some milk and cookies!! Who knows I might even make myself a bubble bath!!

I feel like we have been searching for new living room furniture for months! But TODAY our search comes to an end because we finally found some. Now I just have to wait ten days for it to get here...ugh!!
I am so excited!!! I can not wait to see it set up in our living room.
