Nursery Inspiration for Baby Boy #2

Things with this pregnancy are progressing so slowly, we haven't picked a name (mostly because we can't agree on one) and we have done nothing to the nursery yet....although lets be honest baby boy won't even be in the nursery until he is a couple months old.

BUT I do know what I....it's just all in my head.
The plan is to paint a dresser we already have, order a new crib, and either repurpose Camden's rocker or buy a new one.

I really do not have a "theme" in mind just some words that are floating around in my head to describe the feel/vibe I want for the nursery

Manly. Eclectic. Vintage.

For our littlest man's room I am currently obsessed with gray furniture, pegboards, and all things neutral. I also LOVE the wooden dog in the bottom right corner....it might be the only thing I have actually purchased for the nursery so far!!!

Of course we will add some kind of shelving to hold books and a rug, but at least I have organized all the thoughts in my brain.

Under Construction

Hi, Friends and Family!!!

First I just wanted to say that I have missed this blog so much, it was always my little corner of the world where I could write about whatever I wanted. Since my absence I have still been keeping up with a few of my favorite blogs but TIME just hasn't allowed me to actually sit and write anything down for myself.

I plan on changing that.....starting now!

Life seems to be settling down a little, and I think I finally have this momma thing under control...although that is all about to change because we are pregnant with Baby Sewell #2, AND WE COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED!

With all that being said I have decided to completely revamp my blog, because it was boring and unoriginal! First I am going to change the look (which is slowly but surely happening) and then I am going to spice up the content. When I wrote before I wrote about what I thought people wanted to hear, but that is not real life. And when I look back at some of my post, all I see is the same boring things that you'll see on about 100 other blogs. Sooo this time around I am going to try to be more honest; I want to write about the good, bad, and the ugly. I know how hard that will be, but I think it will be worth it BECAUSE when I look back at MY favorite post their the ones where I tell about real life. It is the stories that I can remember like yesterday when I re-read them AND that is what I want to be able to remember, I want the memories!

  • I hope to capture my second pregnancy just as well as my first AND hopefully write down the things I want to remember about this tiny baby growing in my belly.
  • I hope to capture Camden growing, because it's happening so quickly that we can not wrap our heads around it.
  • I want to be able to look back and remember the good days as well as the melt downs that comes from being a parent of a toddler and a newborn.

So welcome back and I hope you still enjoy this crazy little journey called life with us!

Oh Hey, Leon

Leon, was this crazy winter storm that just passed thru the south. Unfortunately most southern cities are not prepared, so hundreds of people were stranded in their cars, at school, and at work. (Please pray that all these people stay warm and get home to their loved ones safely!)

As for us, we LOVE the snow. We were lucky enough that we were able to leave work in plenty of time to get home before things got to crazy. Since all roads are closed, we are officially snowed in and making the best of it!! Hello Netflix marathons, and spending some quality time as a family of 3.
ALSO hello to Camden's first snow, I just can't get enough of it and neither can the puppies.

Before we got this beautiful snow, we got a ton of ice! Under all this snow, there is about an inch or so of ice....

I took the puppies out to play EARLY this morning...I couldn't resist, I was like a kid on Christmas morning.

Finally Corey and Camden woke up, so we got to go play outside as a family of three! AND I am pretty sure Corey just came outside with me because I wouldn't leave him alone. Can't wait until Camden is old enough to build snowmen and go sledding with me!
